Anti-Slip And Wear-Resistant Automotive Silicone Leather Support Full Color Customization
Automotive silicone leather is a high-performance, environmentally friendly synthetic leather that has emerged in the automotive interior field in recent years. It uses silicone polymer as its core raw material (replacing the plasticizers, solvents and other ingredients in traditional PVC and PU leather). With its excellent weather resistance, environmental friendliness and durability, it has gradually become the mainstream choice for interior decoration of high-end car seats, steering wheels, door panels, etc.
Features:
1. Durability: Scratch-resistant, stain-resistant, and easy to clean
Automotive interiors are subject to frequent contact (such as seat friction, steering wheel grip, and door panel collisions). The physical properties of silicone leather are well-suited for these frequent uses:
Scratch-resistant: With a surface hardness of up to 85-90 Shore A (traditional PU leather is approximately 70-75 Shore A), it resists minor scratches from keys, fingernails, and other sources, and exhibits a certain degree of self-healing ability (minor scratches can be faded with a high-temperature compress).
Stain-resistant and easy to clean: Low surface tension resists stains such as coffee, juice, and oil, allowing them to be removed with a damp cloth and neutral detergent. No special care is required (traditional leather requires regular waxing, and dark stains are prone to lingering).
Hydrolysis-resistant: Resists mold and hydrolysis from prolonged contact with sweat and water stains (such as damp seats). (Traditional PU leather tends to delaminate and peel when exposed to water).
2. Comfortable Touch: Striving for Softness and Support
Silicone leather can achieve a variety of tactile experiences by adjusting the silicone elastomer formula (e.g., cross-linking density, toughening agent ratio):
Basic models: Softness approaching that of genuine leather (e.g., top-grain cowhide), without a stiff feel;
High-end models: Adding a fleece-based fabric or micro-foam structure creates a more delicate touch and a degree of breathability (although not as good as genuine leather, it surpasses the airtight feel of PVC leather);
Slip resistance: A moderate surface friction coefficient prevents your body from sliding on the seat while driving (especially during sudden acceleration/braking).
Applications:
1. Seat covers: Especially the driver and passenger seats (high-frequency contact, requiring scratch and stain resistance). Some models also use this for the rear seats.
2. Steering wheel covers: High-frequency contact, requiring non-slip, wear-resistant, and odor-free (to prevent hand contact with harmful substances).
